Belisario “Billy” Diego is a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with 14 years of dedicated training and teaching experience. He began his journey in California in 2012 and has called Texas home since 2019. Billy earned his Black and Brown Belts under Professor Ricardo Garone of Legacy BJJ, and his White, Blue, and Purple Belts under Professor Beto Vilanova of Vilanova BJJ, continuing a respected Gracie lineage.

Billy has competed in organizations including JJWL, NABJJF, and Dream Jiu-Jitsu across California, Nevada, and Texas. His greatest passion is teaching. He especially enjoys seeing students experience the breakthrough “aha” moment when a technique finally clicks and their confidence begins to grow.

What he likes most about Legacy is the friendships and wonderful families that he has met throughout the years.
